Read this blog and get a free mobile phone!

No, actually, I’m just kidding – seriously – don’t send me any emails demanding any free stuff. It has been a while since I last received an email promising me a free mobile phone, but today I once again found a message in my mailbox, offering a brand new Ericson cell phone for free if I forward the email to eight people … I was hoping that the phenomena would be dead by now, but I was proven… wrong!

I wonder about the simplicity of people… Or is it just pure voracity? Bill Gates giving away money, Nokia and Ericsson giving away free mobile phones, the list is endless with ridiculous promises. But it is even more amazing that, since the early days those emails started to arrive, people still haven’t learned the lesson. Unbelievable, but I keep receiving those emails from the same people over and over again. If those initial senders would have kept their promises, my friends would have retired, or at least been able to open up a highly profitable shop for cell phones by now.

But what am I’m talking about? I have spent far more time to write this blog entry then pressing the erase button and sending the email to spam hell.

Generation Zero responsibility

I had a very interesting chat with my workmate this morning. She recently watched the movie “Super size me”, a documentation by Morgan Spurlock about his Mac Donald’s fast food exclusive diet for 30 days. Of course he got fat and sick. My colleague hated the movie as it did not prove anything to her beside stupidity of US Americans.

Chocolate, steaks, even a tofu diet for thirteen days would also be deemed unhealthy was our joint conclusion. But, contraire to my workmate I do not think Americans are stupid, there is a far more serious problem. It is called responsibility, or to be precise, the lack of it.

Does every single product need an Ad saying how dangerous it can be if it is used or consumed inappropriately? Is there no common sense necessary these days? Or is the lack of common sense just a fast way to get rich and a famous?

I admit, we are constantly seduced by commercials, whispering subconsciously to do this, eat that or buy a certain product. Our lives might be controlled, manipulated and guided by multinational corporations like Nestlé, Coca Cola, Mac Donald’s… But that doesn’t mean that we are released from our responsibility to use our brains and think about consequences when we fulfill our need to “consume”.

Ultimatly we would have the choice, but most of us simply don’t take it. It is far more easier to blame someone else for our own weakness.

The can of lust…

When the pill was introduced in the sixties, in the very beginning, it was only sold to married couples who already had kids. Those laws where later changed, and today, even sixteen year old girls can get the pill with out much hassle. Without a doubt, the pill had a huge influence on the sex life of woman, and started the “sexual revolution”.

These days, the Monash University http://www.monash.edu.au/ in Australia created a testosterone spray to help boosting the sex lives of women with low libido. Of course this was invented to improve quality of life.

The spray may still need years of researched and further tests, but once it is on the market, I wonder what will happen. Viagra started out as a medicine, and now is a fast selling lifestyle drug, just over the course of a couple of years Will the spray do the same for woman? Or will men expect woman to “use” the spray for a night full of lust and love? What if the woman just doesn’t feel like it? Where does the “I want lust, right now” trend stop?

One thing is for sure, the trend can’t be stopped now, it is to late. The door of possibilities is wide open. I just hope that sex will still be a choice both make when there is passion, and not rather a question of what pills need to be taken and what spray should be used to “get in the mood”. Flowers, soft music and a nice dinner are usually also a very good way to get a girl in the mood, and I hope it stays that way.

Hands up! We come in peace!

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is currently touring Europe to find allies to stop Iran from developing their own nuclear weapon program.

Of course there are also higher, more noble goals, like democracy. With or without force is yet up in the air, but the United States wants democracy across the world, especially for the Iranian people. And if governments are not willing, a good way is to bomb the countries till foreign soldiers can move in and Democracy can be established. A lesser, but also important agenda is of course to protect the interests – pardon – “freedom” of the USA.

Only hundred years ago, there where hardly any functional democracy established across Europe. Monarchy was the main political system all over Europe. Then came a time of change, and people got rid of “ruling” families, only to be replaced by dictators, like Hitler, Franco or Mussolini. Today, almost every country in Europe has a functional democracy and countries like France, England and Germany, who used to fight each other for centuries can live peacefully together. Don’t get me wrong, the USA can take a major credit for helping to establish democracy in Europe, but I think the involvement it is taking these days especially in the Middle east is very dangerous.

I think democracy can’t be “established” or forced upon a nation, it’s a process, growing over years and decades. Force shouldn’t come from outside, democracy must start from inside a countries to be successful and lasting.

The truth about desperate housewives

I’ve received fifteen invitations today (so far), all of mid twenty girls, unhappy with their husbands or boyfriends. Usually their messages includes their perfect measures and a line like “My idiot boyfriend is out of town and I’m a little lonely.” All these young woman have a webcam, and they all want to do very nasty things to me. I can’t believe how lucky I actually am. If I would try to please them all, I sure would have to order Viagra from those online pharmacies that also keep sending me emails

All those girls, actually hundreds of them every month… But wait! When I go to their homepage to get in touch, I’m asked to enter my credit card information. And they want my money(!) Hey, your loved one is out of town, you claim that he is a jerk, and you actually expect me to pay to do YOU a favor? How come? Why don’t you offer me the money? And actually a flight ticket to Houston, Texas, or Chicago, your respective location, as I’m sitting in frosty Austria right now.

„Sigh”

I get the feeling that those girls don’t really want me. They want to make money out of male desires and stupidity. There is no Debbie, no Vivian or Cynthia, they are all fake! And as long as I have to send those emails to junk heaven every single day, I know that men are just men. And I am just one of them. Cause, if a hot girl would walk on me in a bar and say “My idiot boyfriend is out of town and I’m a little lonely” WITHOUT charging me, I might would consider sending her to seventh heaven, instead of junk heaven. Or just pinch myself and wake up!
